"Understanding Color Concepts & Applications for Interiors" is a college level course and is
designed for design professionals with little or no color background. However, it is also appropriate
for the color enthusiast.
This course teaches the student to understand what color is, how color works, and how to receive and process color information. This information
is then applied in a series of *labs* so the student can understand better how to apply color in interior applications to achieve the best results. The
student will also be introduced to professional charts, plans and forms that can be used in the field to establish and specify color schemes. This
course typically takes 9 months to complete, but students do have the option of finishing early, if they prefer. This course is taught online in a virtual
classroom allowing students to learn at their own pace. The color knowledge learned in this course can be applied to residential, commercial,
hospitality or healthcare. Upon successful completion of this course (70% or above) students will receive a certification and can use CE, ICS after
their name which will give them a competitive edge in the design industry.
